Hand Painted Silk:
The stunning impact of this art of applying dyes to white and genuine silk is often used for clothing, scarves,cushions, throws,curtains for home decoration and also for wall hangings or paintings that can be mounted and framed. I usually inspire myself from nature for creating unique and original, but I like to be versatile too. I cannot imagine about painting on any other material, because only silk gives vivid colours and this luxury feeling that reflects my inspiration while painting.

History.....

Silk painting is a very antique art already practiced by Phoenicians, to be later developped and enriched in Orient and then reached Occident till our days.

Antique techniques, but still actual

Silk can be painted in several ways to achieve a one-of-a kind masterpiece. Gutta resist, direct painting on non-spread background, salt techniques, batik, tye and dye, or simply freehand painting together with specific dyes for animal fibres.

Features:

Usually, people think that hand-painted silk can be used only for luxurious garments and accessories as scarves, but on the contrary silk is a very strong material despite the soft touch. Try to imagine a beautiful scarf mounted and framed to be used as a very original poster in your living room ...There are endless ways to hang a piece of fabric; bamboo sticks , wooden rings are some of these, or anything your creativity can suggest you to give a touch of originality to your home.
